Music Update

Hot off the press, it’s an update to the music archive! You can download it now on the music page, or stick around for the changes to be rolled out for streaming in the coming days. Here’s the full list of changes:

  • Animation Music
    • Merged “Movie Music” and “Flash Episode Music” into “Animation Music”
    • Replaced trilogy film soundtracks with a single album of the tracks not availible in the official releases from Nathan Furst
    • Added The Journey to One soundtrack
  •  Game Music
    • Added Bionicle Heroes mobile soundtrack, provided by MisterJulius
    • Updated Bionicle Heroes DS soundtrack to HQ versions of tracks from the composer, track titles now reflect official names (Thanks Skelly for ripping this in the best possible quality from YouTube!)
    • Updated Bionicle: The Game console soundtrack to new version by That1Cactus and Hexadecimal Mantis, complete with unused tracks.
    • Added Mask of Control app soundtrack
    • Added “Other Games” album with music from City of Legends, Bionicle Defenders, Bionicle Challenge, and the Mask of Creation app. City of Legends music provided by Hexidecimal Mantis, mobile game music provided by MisterJulius
    • Updated The Legend of Mata Nui soundtrack with tracks from alpha v.006 and final build, album compiled by Vahkiti
    • Updated Mata Nui Online Game soundtrack
      • Updated “The Charred Forest” and “Defense of the Kini-Nui” with higher quality version of the “Predators” cue
      • Added Takua (Unused Track)
    • Removed Mistika game track in Misc album (redundant in light of Closer to the Truth demo)
  •  Songs
    • Added Bionicle Age, Barcodemegamix, and The Bionicle Music (Extended) to 2001 album.
    • Added Closer to the Truth demo
    • Updated Gravity Hurts instrumental to much higher quality
    • Labelled Creeping in My Soul demo track
  •  Miscellaneous
    • Moved Toa Evolution here from Bionicle: The Game soundtrack
    • Moved Mask of Light and Legends of Metru Nui trailer music here from their respective soundtracks
    • Moved Barraki Trailer music here from the Barraki game soundtrack
    • Added “Obey the Force,” a 2009 Paul Hardcastle composition that uses Bionicle samples (thanks again Skelly)
  • Fan Music
    • Removed Fan Music from main download. Music from this is still accessible in separate archives on the Fan page.

ADDENDUMS

2020/03/20

  • Added new mix of Piraka Rap to Songs (via Ganonthegreat)
  • Moved Voya Nui Adventure reward songs to their own download separate from Songs package – most people looking to download Bionicle music won’t be interested in these and they take up quite a bit of space
  • Added Bionicle Jam 2K2 to Miscellaneous (via DoomTay)

The Legend of Mata Nui Final Build!

 

As some of you may have heard, in association with DidYouKnowGaming?, mcdude451, and The Beaverhouse, we have obtained a copy of the final build of the unreleased 2001 PC game, BIONICLE: The Legend of Mata Nui.

Unreleased 2001 Music Track Uncovered

We’ve tracked down an extended version of The Bionicle Music from the 2001 Powerpack, as well another Bionicle song completely unknown prior to now!

The extended Bionicle Music and the new track, Bionicle Age, can be listened to in our 2001 playlist on the Music page (scroll to Songs>2001). Alternatively, you can download mp3+flac versions using this link. 

We’ve also added to the streaming playlist the Barcode Brothers Megamix that was included on the 2001 Nestle promo CD. Enjoy!

G2 Content Incoming

It’s been a long time coming, but while a big reinvention project is taking place behind the scenes, we are beginning to add Generation 2 content to the site for your viewing pleasure.

You can find the webisodes on the videos page now (scroll to the end). Look for more additions soon!

Promo CDs New and Old

The Promo CDs section has been updated, with some new additions, and some updates on existing Promo CDs.

Thanks to the work of Illuminatus from BZPower, who has tracked down a copy of every known promo CD and shared a copy with us, the following CDs have been added to the archive.

New Additions:

  • Complete Mask of Light Promo CD
  • Toa Nuva Promo CD (which is mostly the same as the Bohrok Swarm CD)
  • Both Nestle Promo CD’s CD1 and CD2 disk images, including the music track
  • Power Pack disk images, including music tracks
  • BIONICLE Heroes Demo CDs (2 different versions)
  • Toa Metru Promo CDs (which are largely the same as the Windows installers)

Additionally, several different versions of the 2001 Toa Mata CD are also available now, with some differing content.
