The most devastating effect of the earthquake was the shattering of the Archives and the stasis tubes inside. It released thousands of Rahi to roam the ruins of Metru Nui, most of them hungy and hostile. Those Rahi who are nocturnal remain in hiding in the tunnels, and the Rahaga have also used the Archives as a place to conceal the Rahi they have rescued.
