Andy Macdonald
Now you can print out Andy Mac graph paper -- a blueprint for creating an Andy Mac mural using your collection of LEGO bricks. (You must be a LEGO Club member to download the graph paper.)
Six-time X-Games skateboarding gold-medallist and five-time World Cup Skateboarding overall points champion Andy Macdonald is so pumped about BIONICLEâ„¢ that he's riding for the line this year.
"What's cool about BIONICLE is it brings LEGO to the next level," says Andy about BIONICLE. "Being able to build stuff that actually works is a pretty neat concept to me. I like the collectibility, the story line, and the ability to build not just one thing, but all kinds of different things."
Starting this month, Andy (a.k.a. Andy Mac) will sport the BIONICLE logo and icon on the deck of his board, and he'll make special appearances at select BIONICLE events across the country. Keep checking back here for information on other BIONICLE promotions, contests and events. Andy may be on his way to a town near you!
Andy's laundry list of accomplishments has cemented his position as one of the top professional skateboarders in the world. With six X-Games gold medals, a first-place finish at the 2000 Gravity Games, a Guinness World Record, five World Cup Skateboarding overall points championships, a U.S. postage stamp modeled after his likeness and a policy-related appearance and speech at the White House with former President Bill Clinton, Andy also is a spokesperson for The Partnership for a Drug-Free America and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
At only twenty-seven years of age, Andy, who started skateboarding at age 12, is a multidiscipline athlete, who in the last four years is the only professional skateboarder to rank in the world's top 10 in both street and vert competitions. Andy's unique style and determination have made him one of the most popular athletes in skateboarding today.
"I'm psyched to be riding for the LEGO Company," says Andy. "I've been a fan of LEGO since I was a kid when my whole bedroom floor was covered with a LEGO town."
