Mata Nui Online Game

Please note: With Flash Player officially retired, you may have difficulties playing this game in your browser. Consider downloading the game to circumvent these issues.

Original (2001 version)

Uses the original 2001 “Tohunga” instead of “Matoran” and restores other content including the Tahu teaser animation and the collectible backpack. Also includes restored support pages for the game.

This version includes several enhancements by the Mask of Destiny team; the in-game Tahu teaser animation, collectible backpack, and an integrated menu system using the original menu bar image with relevant options. Menu options include an FPS option to play in the original 18 FPS (keeping the audio and animation in sync), or the higher 30 FPS it ran at in Flash Player 5+.

Automatically saves your progress.

Re-Release (2006 version)

In response to fan demand after the game was retired in 2004, LEGO brought the game back as a downloadable ZIP in 2006. This was the canceled 2002 CD-ROM version created by Templar, modified to replace instances of the word ‘Tohunga’ with ‘Matoran’. Includes the PDF walkthrough written by Mask of Destiny’s Mark for The LEGO Group.

This version includes a small enhancement by the Mask of Destiny team where it will prompt you for your preferred FPS option at launch. You can play in the original 18 FPS (keeping the audio and animation in sync), or the higher 30 FPS it ran at in Flash Player 5+.

Uses a chapter select screen instead of progress saving.

Original official 2006 release (not recommended)

This is the original official 2006 version release by The LEGO Group.

It only runs at 30 FPS, which causes the audio to be partially out-of-sync with the animation.

It does still work on Windows.

Uses a chapter select screen instead of progress saving.
