A fairly large update has been made to the G2 pictures archive containing a bunch of new content from the BIONICLE website, Facebook page, and LEGO Shop @ Home. Until the pictures page is updated to accommodate G2 content, you can download the archive here.

Changelog:

• Added stylized box art

• Added stylized renders of Toa, Protectors and combiners from the build pages

• Added transparent renders of Protector masks & tools

LEGO has just this morning put most of the 2015 BIONICLE sets on shop.lego.com, for those who can guess the URL. All the sets are listed as “Coming Soon on 1 Jan 2015”, so you can’t buy them yet, but most of them have their product images available for viewing. I’m not a big fan of looking at them through a little zooming window, so I downloaded them in full-resolution, 2400 x 2400, alpha transparent images, and uploaded them for your viewing pleasure. I was even able to get the images that aren’t viewable on the LEGO product pages. Click the images below to view the full resolution.

 

A short time ago, it was discovered that the BIONICLE website now contains a videos page that is not linked to on the main site. On it is the below trailer for the upcoming series of animated shorts, as well as a higher quality version of The Legend as seen on the official Facebook page.

The pictures archive for Generation 2 has been updated. Included are all of today’s BIONICLE website updates including instruction manuals for the Toa, Protectors, LoSS, and combiners. The archive can be downloaded here:

BIONICLE.COM now has an interactive, zoom-able map of the island of Okoto, which is neat, but it lacks a way of viewing the whole image at once. So, I decided to fix this. A few short scripts and a little ImageMagick magic later, I present to you the full map of Okoto, in a single PNG image. LEGO has updated the BIONICLE website with new images, new content, and even more teaser information! Highlights include a semi-interactive map of Okoto, images and information on the regions of Okoto, and the names of the first three animations, “Prophecy of heroes”, “The Arrival”, and “Quest for the Golden Mask” with short descriptions. In the latest episode of Beaverhousin Productions’ BIONICLE Heroes Commentary, Vahkiti’s team and XONAR go into detail about what went wrong with the planned live stream event for the BIONICLE panel at this year’s New York Comic Con.

LEGO has just uploaded the slides from the Comic Con presentation to their Facebook. There’s some great concept art and visuals, so check them out on their Facebook or from the links below!

Note that there do seem to be some differences between these slides and the slides shown at Comic Con. The “Temple of Time” slide is not present, but some unique ones are.
