The Metru Nui chute system is the major means of transport for Matoran. It consists of miles and miles of transparent tubes, consisting of liquid protodermis held in place by a magnetic field and supported by braces. The protodermis inside moves at high speed, propelling riders to their destinations quickly. Chute stations can be found in every metru. The flow and speed of the chutes is controlled in Le-Metru, and Le-Matoran are also responsible for any new chute construction or any repairs needed to the system. Chutes are used to move both passengers and cargo.
