We get the beast forms as one phase, the amalgam mech as the second, and this form, equivalent to the Dark Beast Ganon fight.

It ties everything together. The Shadow Toa, Swinnerton's original concept, Templar's concept art, and now this.

Probably not possible on this engine, but maybe more like that, yes.

Or even the previous form made weak spots in the roof and light is shining through. You'd have to force Makuta into the light to damage him

The chest would be closed by like.. entwined shadow tendrils until you get into the light where it opens up to reveal the Hau. Smack it, and the shadow form melts like the Mud Elemental and the hau relocates to construct it again.

I honestly don't care that much how he looks; when I was writing my pitch I certainly didn't anticipate Templar and Faber concepts showing up, so we might as well use them. I assume each phase gets fought by two Toa? for my idea to work we need six Toa fights, six recovered gold masks. (edited)

calling him the Spirit of Destruction is imposing; calling him a "Shadow Elemental" is not quite as threatening

reverse the order there and you have some escalation

and implies the final form is his purest form, with no imitation of animals or the biomechanical islanders/toa
