Once, they were the powerful Toa Inika. Now the energies of the Mask of Life have transformed them into the undersea warriors, the Toa Mahri! Armed with Cordak blasters, new weapons, and new masks, the Toa Mahri must challenge the evil Barraki to save the life of Mata Nui!

From out of the shadows of the Pit swims Toa Mahri Nuparu to fight the evil Barraki! His aqua blaster blade sends shockwaves through the Pit, while his shield protects him from attack. Using his Mask of Stealth, Nuparu can move almost unseen, then fire his Cordak blaster at a foe!

Putting on the mask, Toa Matoro's body transformes into pure energy – the very energy that can bring Mata Nui back to life. Knowing he must sacrifice his own existence to save the universe, Matoro uses his last moments to send the other Toa Mahri back to Metru Nui and make them amphibious, so they can live on land once more. Then his energies combine with those of the Mask of Life in a massive burst of light and brings the Great Spirit back to life.
