Retail Games Help

We host the Bionicle console & PC games as images of the source cartridges/discs. If you’re unfamiliar with how to run a game in this state, here are some tips:

FOR PC GAMES
– On Windows 8 and 10, you can virually mount the ISO for a game by double-clicking on it.
– On other operating systems, you will need to mount the ISO manually. You can do this with software such as WinCDEmu.

FOR CONSOLE AND HANDHELD GAMES:
In most cases, the simplest way to play a game is to download an emulator for the specific device the game was made for. Here are some recommendations – you will find at these links downloads for the software, as well as tutorials and guides to help get you set up and ready to go:
– GameBoy Advance: Visual Boy Advance
– Bionicle Heroes on the DS: DeSmuME
– PlayStation 2: PCSX2
– Xbox: Xbox emulation has yet to be perfected. Cxbx-Reloaded may be the best option available at the moment, but be aware that it is still in development.
– Bionicle Heroes on Xbox 360: xenia
– Gamecube/Wii: Dolphin
– Java phone apps: KEmulator

It is also possible to run a downloaded game on the original device it was made for, via SD card, USB drive, HDD, or burning the image to an appropriate disc. If you want to do this with a GameCube or Wii game, you must first convert the image from GCZ to ISO – this can be done in Dolphin.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the trimmed version of Bionicle Heroes for the Xbox will NOT pass ABGX checks for Xbox Live – running it on your Xbox 360 could get you banned. If you plan to play the game this way, please download the full, unmodified version.
