Ok apparently nintendo goofed on this render of Mario. Apparently there's about a 4 pixel area of blank space between the star and Mario's thumb which is cut off about where the glow of the star begins.

I'm not complaining though, cause that makes it much easier for me to crop. XD

Alright, I fixed it. Yay! Also I think that I might make a thing out of this. If I can find transparent renders of all the powerups from Galaxy 2, I might put one of those in Mario's hand in the thumbnail for the episode that contains them.

Eg: Cloud Suit in episodes = Cloud Flower in hand for the thumbnail.

That was my first LP. Camera pointed at a tv.

Even so, I still did the whole camera thing better than ANYONE. I actully made a point of centering it so that the whole TV and nothing BUT the TV was in frame at all times. I also dimmed the lights in the room to limit glare and overexposure.

At the time I figured that I had very little to work with, so I was damn well going to use what I had to the best of my abilities.

If this last year has taught me anything, it's that all the flashy new graphics and 3D animation in the world won't change a damn thing if the content wrapped within is just the same old shit. Lately viewership has stagnated and on the weekly uploads, we've plateaued at an average of 20-30 views per video.

With all of this in mind, what do you all think that we, (mainly Joe, Sam, and I, but all of your input would be appreciated. ) could do to stand out a little more without having to resort to some kind of gimmick?

I could never be bothered editing streams. Too much effort at once. That, combined with the render time for a video any longer than 20 minutes and it's just not worth it.

It's probably mostly to do with my project files and lack of ram. I only have 2gb of ram and any given project has a 2000x2000 watermark downscaled to fit the video in question made up of a 400+ png image sequence to make the necessary animation cycle.

It's time consuming, but the end result is usually worth the time.

Pokemon in general never holds my interest

I tried Red, Black, and Heartgold

None kept my attentuion for more than 3 hours

Come to think of it, Skyward Sword was the only Zelda that really kept my ettention either. xD

Still didn't BEAT it but yeah

It was also the most action oriented was it not?

That seems to be the main thing. If a game is slow and tedious, I lose interest really quickly.

Oh yeah, so I was raging about the Gold Beanies in dream team last night

As soon as I found the Luiginary Wall attack, they're pretty fucking easy

There's also a bros. attack invlolving a slingshot that, if timed correctly, will cause MINIMUM of 300 damage per turn

That's not including the fact that there are badge effects that can dramatically raise your pow. My last battle using it beat a boss in four tunrs with 480 damage per hit

The thing is so fucking OP, I love it. xD

I first used it on Grobot X and he went down in two turns. XP

Zach, basically it's an extremely OP combo attack between mario & luigi

normally I can only cause upwards of 150 damage per attack without any pow raising effects. This one attack if timed correctly effectively doubles that. xD

Not helping the matter is that the attack pieces for that are found less than half way through the game. xD

Somewhere around 2000 by that point in the game I estimate. The game is so new, there aren't any exact figures though

The Wiggler boss went down in five, but at least two of those turns were spent fighting Popple.

Btw, my one disappointment about this game so far is that for characters, they're still using sprites

They're GOOD sprites, I'll give them that, but objectively, the @D work isn't much better than Bowser's inside story and can sometims look odd against the consistently 3D backdrops

That, and they showed that they were fully capable of doing full 3D, as the Giant Luigi battles are in complete 3D. New models for Luigi, Mario, Starlow, and Dreambert. And the animations were comparitively a lot better and more fluid than the usual sprites

The only reason I can think of that they didn't go the extra mile there is that due to the sheer amount of assets required for bosses, enemies attacks etc, the 3DS carts simply weren't big enough to hold all that data

I like them too, but against 3D backdrops in a 3d environment?

2.5d like the remastered Ducktales is fine

I will give them this though, unlike with Sticker Star, Alpha Dream did NOT let Mario & Luigi conform to the New Super Mario Bros. art style and that makes me very happy.

The complete and total saturation of the franchise as of late with that god damned samey cutsie art style is just sickening.

It was good on the DS, it was better on the Wii, they should have just let it go there, but no. Now we have 3D World and Sticker Star that are graphically identical.

Mario is beginning to turn in to Crash Bandicoot. Before much longer people are going to catch on that Nintendo is out of new ideas and there will be consequences.

I'm fine with 3D world existing, I'm just hoping that other parts of the game mix up the formula a little more

Well New Super Mario bros. U JUST did that one level. By contrast alone, it was clearly the most unique level in the game, but it wasn't near enough, no.

Honestly, from what I've seen very little of it is actually made that way. We have Windy Hill act 1, Desert Ruins act 3, Silent Forest (presumably act 1), and by comparison all of the other levels have been a lot more standard in appearacne

it's hit and miss IMO. Dessert Ruins is a little forgettable, and Windy Hill is a little repetitive, but it works when it works

Just beat another DT boss with the slingshot. five to six turns. 350 damage per hit. This is the last boss that I know of before the final. GG. xD

And I just realized that this is why Luigi is two levels higher than mario

Since I favor that attack so much in boss fights, Luigi gets at least quadruple the amount of damage on to the enemy than mario. xD
