I have ripped the "Toa Mata" models from "Bionicle: The Game" and i want to share it with you.

The OBJ files can be opened with Blender and 3DS MAX ;). No credit needed.

NOTE: If you don't see the model, click on "View" -> "View all" (Blender)

Do you have a link to see the models for the Toa Nuva? Or the Matoran/Tohunga and Makuta Teridax?

When I try to open the files in either 3DSMax, Maya, or Blender it tells me that there are missing texture files.

For example, Maya gives me this error on one of the meshes in Gali:
// Warning: Texture file C:/<SNIP>/3DReaperDX/Textures/9b7deefd.dds doesn't exist, node MapFBXASC032FBXASC035319 //
I could relink the textures if you include them.

I have the same problem when i try to search the textures. It doesn't exist, i can't find it on the folder. I will upload it next time without textures.

Quick question... 1. where did these come from? From what I was aware, unless these are dummied out trash data, I was only aware of the mata being in a pre-rendered cutscene. And 2. is there any rigging for these models anywhere in the game? Without that, they're kind of useless unfortunately. Textures too.

They were extracted from memory with a program that pulls 3D mesh out of memory. There's probably no rigging in the models the game uses, they were probably converted to vertex animations for the game to run faster. Exactly where the entire models are in the game, I'm not sure. I've extracted the archives and didn't see anything that looked like 3D models although I really don't now what a lot of the files are.

Oh so we're talking about something like 3Dreaperdx right? If the models could be swapped, it would actually be easy to capture and re-rig them. The animation of gathering elemental energy can be converted to a standard T pose and rigged with a little effort.

That's right. I used 3Dreaperdx and you can find the mata models on the extras --> The Toa
